Women Over 50 … Greatest Lessons

Event date: March 24

A special reception for “Women Over 50,” a documentary and a pictorial exhibition, will be presented at the Victor Valley Museum on Friday, March 24 at 5:30 p.m. The event, which includes a screening and panel discussion of the documentary, is hosted by the Friends of the Victor Valley Museum and presented by Dreamers, Visionaries and Leaders. ICR Staffing Services Inc. is the presenting reception sponsor.

According to Regina Weatherspoon-Bell, Women Over 50 Creator and Executive Producer, “I was motivated at the start of this project to show the beauty, grace and wisdom of older women in a way that captured the diversity and vitality of women. It was important to share the treasure and value of 50 years plus of life experience. The project features twenty local High Desert women.”

Tickets are available at the Victor Valley Museum for $25 per person, which includes the reception and one year’s membership in the San Bernardino County Museum Association and Friends of Victor Valley Museum.

Women Over 50 and the Museums’ other exciting events and exhibits reflect the effort by the Board of Supervisors to achieve the Countywide Vision by celebrating arts, culture, and education in the county, creating quality of life for residents and visitors.

The Victor Valley Museum, a branch of the San Bernardino County Museum, is located at 11873 Apple Valley Road in Apple Valley. Parking is free. For more information, call (751) 240-2111 or visit www.sbcountymuseum.org. The museum is accessible to persons with disabilities.
