Girl Scout Day at the Victor Valley Museum in Apple Valley

Event date: March 11

Celebrate National Girl Scout Day at the Victor Valley Museum in Apple Valley on Saturday, March 11 10 from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. All activities are included with museum general admission.

Every year, Girl Scout Week is celebrated in March. The official birthday of the Girl Scouts, March 12, commemorates the day in 1912 when Juliette Gordon Low officially registered the organization’s first 18 girl members in Savannah, Georgia.

On Girl Scout Day at the Victor Valley Museum, visitors will learn about the history of Girl Scouts in the United States, see uniforms and badges from the past, and speak with Girl Scouts from the San Gorgonio Council about their mission for community. Patrons can also tour the museum and see two new special exhibits, “Mysteries at the Museum” and “California Bling,” and enjoy some creative crafts.

Girl Scout Day and the Museums’ other exciting events and exhibits reflect the effort by the Board of Supervisors to achieve the Countywide Vision by celebrating arts, culture, and education in the county, creating quality of life for residents and visitors.

The Victor Valley Museum, a branch of the San Bernardino County Museum, is located at 11873 Apple Valley Road in Apple Valley. Parking is free. For more information, call (751) 240-2111 or visit www.sbcountymuseum.org. The museum is accessible to persons with disabilities.
