11/12/2016 - GobbleFest at the Victor Valley Museum
Victor Valley Museum hosts holiday GobbleFest
Museum will screen popular film “Free Birds”
Event date Nov. 12, 2016
Get a head start on the Thanksgiving holidays with GobbleFest at the Victor Valley Museum on Saturday, Nov. 12 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. The day will be filled with a wide variety of unique crafts and activities for all ages. The family film, “Free Birds,” will screen at 11 a.m. and repeat at 2 p.m. In this 2013 movie, two turkeys from opposite sides of the tracks must put aside their differences and team up to travel back in time to change the course of history - and get turkey off the holiday menu for good.
“The holidays are meant to enjoy with family and friends. If you haven’t been to the Victor Valley Museum recently, we invite you to join us for GobbleFest and explore the new exhibits opened this year, “California Bling! Minerals from the Museum,” and “Mysteries in the Museum,” said Melissa Russo, director of the San Bernardino County Museums, which operates the Victor Valley Museum.
All activities, including the movie, refreshments, and popcorn, are included with general museum admission.
“GobbleFest” and the County Museum’s other exciting events and exhibits reflect the effort by the Board of Supervisors to achieve the Countywide Vision by celebrating arts, culture, and education in the county, creating quality of life for residents and visitors.
