One driver was arrested for driving under the influence during a grant funded DUI Saturation Patrol Sunday, Jan. 15.

One driver drove through the cone pattern of the checkpoint and fled west to Loma Linda.  The stocky male driver fled on foot after parking his 2006 white Honda Pilot in a residential driveway near Mountain View and Redlands Boulevard. Officers from the DUI Checkpoint located the vehicle and found about 1,000 ecstasy capsules inside.  Narcotics officers are continuing the investigation.  The vehicle was later reported stolen.

Twenty-three drivers were cited Monday, Jan. 16, during a grant funded traffic enforcement operation.  This operation focused on aggressive driving such as speeding, running red lights, running stop signs and talking on cell phones.
