Fontana, California -  The Mayor and City Council invite the public to subscribe to the various web tools designed to keep Fontana residents updated on the latest events and activities going on in the City. Recently the City’s website was updated and completely transformed. Along with this transformation came numerous web tools to help the public stay informed on news and events that are most important to them. Those who sign up can choose to follow specific calendars, news feeds and other announcements thus allowing them to personally tailor their updates to particular areas of interest.

Various subscriptions are available such as calendar updates from the Community Services Department, the Police Department and others. Additionally, the public can sign up to receive updates when new jobs are posted. Subscription to the City’s Community Connection Newsletter is available through a web tool called “Notify Me.” If residents are interested in receiving important updates from their nearest community center, they can sign up to receive “newsflashes” from that specific center.

Other specific areas that residents can receive newsflashes include the City’s Aquatic program, the Sports program, Healthy Fontana, the Fontana Arts program, the Nature Center as well as the Police Department and the Community Services Department. Residents may also sign up to receive important traffic updates so they are aware of lane closures or street improvements.
