7/1/2010 - Cooling Facilities Setup throughout Fontana

Fontana, California -  The Mayor and City Council invite the public to utilize designated cooling facilities located throughout the City during the summer season. A cooling facility is a designated site that the public can utilize to get relief from the heat. The facilities have a public seating area, air conditioning and drinking water. The cooling facilities are available during normal operating hours and will remain available throughout the summer season. Below is a list of cooling facilities in the City of Fontana:

·         Cypress Neighborhood Center: 8380 Cypress Avenue. Open Monday – Friday, 8:00 am to 8:00 pm and Saturday 8:00 am to 12:00 pm. (909) 349-6988.

·         Don Day Neighborhood Center: 14501 Live Oak Avenue. Open Monday – Friday, 8:00 am to 8:00 pm and Saturday 8:00 am to 1:00 pm. (909) 349-6997.

·         Heritage Neighborhood Center: 7350 W. Liberty Pkwy. Open Monday – Friday, 8:00 am to 8:00 pm and Saturday 8:00 am to 2:00 pm. (909) 349-6968.

·         Jessie Turner Health & Fitness Center: 15556 Summit Avenue. Open Monday – Friday, 7:00 am to 9:00 pm, Saturday 8:00 am to 6:00 pm and Sunday 7:00 am to 5:00 pm.

·         Fontana Community Senior Center: 16710 Ceres Avenue. Open Monday – Friday, 7:00 am to 8:00 pm and Saturday 8:00 am to 3:00 pm.
