12/4/2009 - Adventist Health to Give Warm Clothing to Needy at O'Bryant Square

PORTLAND, Ore. -- Adventist Health of Portland, Ore., will give out more than 800 donated articles of gently worn coats, sweaters, blankets, shirts, gloves, shoes, socks and hats to the needy and homeless this Sunday, Dec. 6 from 8 a.m. to 9 a.m. in Portland's O'Bryant Square. Adventist Health volunteers and the Portland hospital's HealthVan will hand out the donated garments and hygiene products, including soap, shampoo, toothpaste, and mouthwash on a need basis. The winter garments were donated by Adventist Health employees through the hospital's annual Warm Holiday's donation campaign.
