7/26/2010 - Cancer Center Hosts Exhibition of Art by Cancer Patients Lilly Oncology On Canvas, an art exhibition honoring the journeys people face when confronted by a cancer diagnosis, will be on display at the Martin-O’Neil Cancer Center at St. Helena Hospital from August 9-20. This free public exhibit, which is touring communities nationwide, will showcase 25 select pieces of art from the Oncology On Canvas competition.
2/22/2010 - Introducing the Well Now Showcase in Downtown St. Helena The community is invited to an open house celebration on March 18 from noon to 5 p.m. for the Well Now Showcase, which St. Helena Hospital has created in downtown St. Helena to promote its wellness and specialty health programs to tourists and Napa Valley residents.
2/8/2010 - Free Women's Heart Health Seminar Feb. 24 St. Helena Hospital presents “Juggling Lessons for Life: A Busy Woman’s Guide to Stress Management and a Healthy Heart.” Eliz Greene who will share her story of surviving a heart attack and teach women how to cope with everyday stress while maintaining a healthy heart. She will be joined by local cardiologist, Alexander Fraley, M.D., a specialist in peripheral vascular disease.
1/27/2010 - Trinchero Surgery Center Opens; New MRI Added St. Helena Hospital has expanded its surgery capacity with the opening of the Trinchero Surgery Center, named in honor of Napa Valley residents Louis “Bob” and Evalyn Trinchero.
1/12/2010 - St. Helena Hospital Cancer Center Affiliates with UCSF Medical Center to Enhance Local Cancer Care The Martin-O’Neil Cancer Center at St. Helena Hospital and the UCSF Helen Diller Family Comprehensive Cancer Center at UCSF Medical Center have begun an affiliation that will provide North Bay patients with access to clinical research trials and express referrals to cancer specialists through a convenient Napa Valley location.

11/5/2009 - Hospital Implements New Visitor Restrictions to Prevent Flu St. Helena Hospital has implemented a new visitation policy to protect patients and staff from exposure to influenza.
10/23/2009 - St. Helena Hospital Receives Largest Donation in its History St. Helena resident Mabel Johnson and her late husband Wayne have made an $8 million gift to the St. Helena Hospital Foundation. The Johnsons’ gift, an irrevocable trust to benefit St. Helena Hospital, represents the largest charitable contribution in the hospital’s history.
9/1/2009 - Life Line Screening Offer Stroke Screenings Sept. 16 St. Helena Hospital is partnering with Life Line Screening, the nation’s leading provider of community-based preventive screenings, to stop stroke and hip fractures in their tracks. A screening event will be held September 16 at the Grace Episcopal Church, 1314 Spring Street, in St. Helena.

Erin was an ophthalmologist at St. Helena Hospital, and his father, Dr. John Jacobson, is a cardiac surgeon at our hospital.”

1/7/2009 - St. Helena Hospital Announces Leadership Change JoAline Olson, president/CEO of St. Helena Hospital for the past 11 years, has been named vice president of clinical innovation for the hospital’s parent healthcare system Adventist Health. Terry Newmyer of Florida Hospital will be the new president/CEO of St. Helena Hospital and its sister facilities, St. Helena Hospital Clearlake in Lake County and the St. Helena Center for Behavioral Health in Vallejo. The leadership change takes effect in early February.
10/15/2008 - "Celebration of Thanks" Community Potluck to Honor "Deer Fire" Personnel St. Helena Hospital and Foothills Adventist Elementary School are co-sponsoring a "Celebration of Thanks" community potluck on Sunday, Oct. 19, 2008 to honor the many people and agencies who fought the Deer Fire and helped save the Deer Park community from devastation.

9/25/2008 - Stay-at-Home Mom's Life Transformed at St. Helena Center for Health When Patty Brown goes to the local high school track for exercise she carries 20 almonds in her left pocket. As she completes each lap, she transfers one almond to her right pocket. “When all 20 almonds are in my right pocket, I know I’ve walked and jogged five miles,” she said. “On my way home I eat the almonds as a healthy snack.”
